Privacy policy

This policy explains how The Growth Folks® (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use thegrowthfolks.com, including our free tools, tactics and lessons. Our growth agency at agency.thegrowthfolks.com has its own policy.

What we collect

  • Usage data. We may use analytics to understand which pages are visited and how people find us. We will update this section to name the provider before enabling it.
  • Newsletter sign-ups. If you email us to join our list, we keep your email address to send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Emails you send us. If you contact us, we keep the conversation so we can reply.
  • Academy accounts (optional). If you create a free account, we store your name, email address, a salted hash of your password (never the password itself), the lessons you complete, your lesson quiz scores, and any certificate you earn. If you use “Continue with Google”, Google shares your name and verified email address with us; we do not receive your Google password.

Academy accounts, cookies and certificates

  • Without an account, lesson progress stays in your browser’s local storage and is never sent to us. When you sign in, progress you made in that browser is copied to your account so it syncs across devices.
  • Signing in sets two first-party cookies for 30 days: tgf_session (a signed, HttpOnly session token) and tgf_auth (contains only “1”, so pages know to load your account). Signing out removes both and clears academy progress from that browser; it stays in your account.
  • Certificates are public by design: anyone with the credential ID or verification link can see the holder’s name, issue date, exam score and per-topic scores. Your email address is never shown on the verification page.
  • Account data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. To delete your account and certificate, email us from the address on the account.

Our free tools

Our browser-based tools process what you type on your own device. We do not receive or store those inputs. Each tool has its own privacy page with specifics:

How we use information

To run and improve the website, send the newsletter you asked for, reply to you, and keep the site secure. We do not sell personal information.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site (such as hosting, analytics and email delivery), and when required by law.

Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the EU/UK GDPR — you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent. Email privacy@thegrowthfolks.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date.
